Yankees must be rooting for Mike Trout, who has silently climbed in front of Judge in OPS and WAR. Trout makes Judge look like Cal Ripken with his injury history. Trout is going to miss tonight's game because he's "sore". Trout was very durable between 2013-2016, playing a minimum of 157 games each year. But since then he's missed a fair amount of games, especially last year.

Judge wins and it’s $264.2M. The Yankees win and it’s $260.2M. The third luxury tax tier is $270M and at that point next year’s first round pick moves back 10 spots. The Yankees treated the third threshold as a hard cap in 2019 and 2020. That's a real short sighted way to look at things if you're the Yankees. I wish the Yankees would have thought of all of this before the added Donaldson's contract to the payroll. Agreed. There should no cap at all on a possible championship season. Go for broke!

Stanton had that one game in the field, his first one back, when he looked like Jackson Clinton Frazier out there. Or Clinton Jackson, or Frazier Clinton, whoever. Other than that he’s looked pretty good in the field this year… I meant Giancarlo Mike or Michael Giancarlo or Yvonne De Carlo or whatever…

Trout was really injured badly last season, but he's only played three fewer games than Judge this season. How many games has Judge missed this season because he's manger is an idiot? He doesn't beg out of games because he's he's not feeling well like the league golden boy.

Maybin is exactly right. You have to protect on that pitch. If you're going to be aggressive, stay aggressive.

Trout has played under 114 games only once in his career for any full season and its equivalent. Judge has played over 114 games in his career only twice. Amazingly, they are the same age.

Stanton wants to play the field, and he hits better when he does.
