Gentlemen, I wish I could be here tonight. A few weeks ago, my sister's partner asked if I would be interested in going to a Beatles' cover band. I thanked her but declined. Yesterday, I find out from my niece that they bought me tickets and are coming over to pick me up tonight for Mexican food and then an "outdoor concert." I really want to stay in my apartment of 69 degrees and watch the Yankees, but now I'll be sweating chips and salsa in 104 degree heat. At least it starts at 8:00 PM, so it might be only 99 degrees by show time. Ugh. This is awful, but I feel obligated to go. What say you?

I saw Beltran's pregame comments with Cone and Kay. They all just danced around the controversy. Just said the fans will be really into it, nothing directly about how Beltran was involved. |

Kay - it's 104 degree outside and feels like 106. To me, it feels like 116. My body is expanding like a bloated sea cow trying to increase the surface area of my skin to cool me down. I should not have had an Italian sub sandwich today - it was delicious though. But, I am not used to eating bread and I feel like the dough is rising inside of me. I am dreading this, honestly. |
