I realize I'm getting ahead of myself, but suppose we make the ALDS, who would you rather play, the Indians or the Astros?

I was in Cleveland the other day and saw Kluber pitch. Houston has no one nearly as good as he is now, so I'd rather face Houston.

Houston has Verlander/Keuchel/Peacock and McCullers or Morton or McHugh for Game 4. Thats no joke. Is it better than Cleveland with Kluber/Carrasco/Bauer/Tomlin? Though Cleveland was supposedly toying with the idea of a three man rotation.

The Yankees matchup better with Cleveland. Carrasco Bauer Tomlin are all good but they are not like godly like verlander or keuchel is. Verlander is usually either lights out or terrible versus the Yankees. I don’t want to find out which one shows up. Keuchel is always ridiculous versus the Yankees. Both are excellent teams, but I think the Yankees have a better chance versus Cleveland. I don’t think Houston is unbeatable but verlander and keuchel just jeff way more of a caliber versus the Yankees than the Cleveland pictures.

I dunno let’s just get there first. I’m prob going to go into hibernation if we lose that one game to the inferior twins. Well I guess let’s hope they tie the Red Sox then maybe the twins game doesn’t happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm going to be so depressed if we don't make it to the ALDS. That will mean six straight playoff loses!

I think what annoys me is the Yankees have an almost 200 run differential which is the same as Houston who is considered an elite team. The fact that somehow the twins who are 6 games worse in the standings and have a 21 run differental which is ten times worse than the Yankees can have a chance to advance with one measly game win is like saying the warriors would be eliminated if the 8 seed happened to take game one which has happened in nba history sometimes but it’s first to four not one. Like I said one terrible month is the reason the Yankees are in this spot.

They need to switch the wild card to a 3 game series or something.

The fact that there is a tiebreaker game then a 1 game playoff back to back days is nuts. Especially if there is travel involved. Imagine if the tiebreaker game was here then the Yankees had to go to Seattle the next day? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It just goes against the whole point of baseball. Look in football I get single elimination. You are seeing basically their entire team in one game minus like the 3rd string running back or backup kicker or some irrelevant position. In baseball you what maybe half of the 25 man roster in one game? How can I say I am a better team because I beat you playing one version of your team? That’s why a series makes sense if I lose a series then I can say ok I lost to your best pitcher and your worst one and prob say 95% of your players in the series but in one game it’s like congrats you beat 50% of us. It just makes no sense. Plus how many times has a team had just one good pitcher and the rest suck ? That’s not excatly fair in a one game playoff because that team has an insane advantage when over a series they wouldn’t have a chance. Example if the 2009 World Series was 1 game the Yankees have no shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can't compress all the intricacies of baseball down to one game. Oh, well what can you do. Just pray we make it to the ALDS.

Nothing but it’s just bizarre how we are two fans on the internet debating this and aren’t members of the mlb head administration board and somehow members of this board can’t reason this with logic lol. They are supposed to know more than we do. Yea I dunno things like the braves with that bs infield fly rule that wasn’t in the infield scare me in a one game playoff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Man, ANYTHING can happen in a one game playoff. One bad call, a bad strike zone, remember Judge's HR called a triple earlier in the year? Let's hope it doesn't come down to that. Anyway, I asked you a question about Girardi in the Game 160 thread, check that out. I'm curious of your opinion.
