we'd have to give up a little more
That's a lot, but isn't enough for Castillo. You might have to add Pereira. I love Warren, but I'm sure of a lot teams do. Pereira has a value of 16.8. Take away Warren or Gomez and add Pereira and its about even. Of course, this analyzer isn't gospel but its fun to play with.

Don’t count on Juan Soto: A Yankees-Nationals trade for Juan Soto never seemed realistic considering the Yankees’ position in the standings and how much Washington will surely ask for their 23-year-old superstar. Adding an outfielder like Benintendi all but signals that the Yankees won’t try to trade for Soto.

There have been rumors that other teams would take him as reclamation project. I would show him the door pronto. Cashman is probably waiting until they acquire another OF via trade first. BRAVO TO BEARMAN!!!: Your Statement was reading my mind/posts:
It is easy to say trade Gallo, which I would love to do, but who wants him. I would trade him and pay his salary and take a bag of used baseballs in return. Now that Stanton is out I am afraid we will see more of him and that is adding an automatic out to the lineup. Dump him and bring up Andujar or Florial. At least they would have a chance to put bat on ball every once in a while. If I read the stats correctly Florial has 12 homers and 29 stolen bases. There is no way I would be convinced he would be worse than the Black Hole.
As I stated yesterday in a Post on Misc. Yankees = The Cracks in Our Armor are beginning to show:
We need to rid ourselves of Gallo, Chapman, etc. WE have a Farm System of Very Good Prospects ready to step in and HELP carry us to the WS. (Yes, Tequila and I believe Chapman's ARM is not like it was before = Too Many Years of Use. We have Players that can do what Chapman used to do--Plus he is a FA at seasons end = Get a RETURN for him now.).
We DO NOT need to trade our best Prospects for Players where our Prospects could do the same/similar job and do such much cheaper with years under our control.
And like I said we need to get EVEN better at the basics of hitting to opposing fields, getting runners on base, driving them around, etc. (do not mention Bunt or Sac. Fly to Gallo = He doesn't know these words or what they mean).
In the recent games I have watch some, if not many Yanks were swinging at SHIT pitches -- there was so many shit swings I almost ordered a Container of Toilet Paper for our team.
Like I said we could win 130 games and it all means SHIT if we do not make it to the WS, because of the lack of not doing the basics.
We are doing so well at this point = That NOW is the time to be practing the basics over, over and over again.
Kinda reflects my thoughts. We obviously have the talent and the lead over the rest of the league to make the playoffs. But I never thought this team was constructed to actually win the world series. Our starting pitching up until recently has been outstanding along with our bullpen. But we need more professional hitters, not whiffers that good pitching can control, in my opinion. I love the Benintendi trade. He is exactly the kind of hitter I believe we need. Make some minor deals but don't give up the "farm" for a pitcher. In my opinion one pitcher will not make the difference when it comes down to a short series. Still would dump the Black Hole. Could Andujar or Florial be worse?

Adding an outfielder like Benintendi all but signals that the Yankees won’t try to trade for Soto. I don’t see it that way at all, Acura. When you have a generational talent available I do t think acquiring a lesser player blocks that trade. The Yanks have one completely expendable outfielder on Gallo, and another one in Hicks that has proven through the years that he’d likely be more useful as a back up than a starter. We have up very little (not too much, A-Man😂) to get Benintendi. We still have pieces to acquire Soto if the Yanks are willIng to give them up and perhaps face paying Judge and Soto. Plus, we still have the possibility that Judge will depart of his own accord. That’s what’s really cool about baseball though. We all think a bit differently…

Cashman should get a least a couple on this list.

My wife asked me if I wanted to do anything today and I said, "yeah, stare at my Twitter feed hoping Cashman makes a move".
