Not sure if they had MVP in his day, but if they did Honus Wagner. Maybe Paul Waner? Big Poison? That sounds right.

I have to like a good-natured skinny 6'7" SS named for Paul O'Neill. I'm not getting the Yankees broadcast. Did they arrange a meeting between Paulie and his namesake?

Trivia: Who are the 6 MVPs in Pirates history? Dave Parker won in like 1977 or 1978, I think. He won an MVP and two batting titles during the Lumber Company years, as the Pirates were called back then. You could make a strong case that he should be in the HOF.

Ooh, I think Dick Groat in my youth. I would not have gotten that one. Before you were born, but sadly right in my wheelhouse for baseball. With the infamous 1960 Pirates. Dick Groat was an outstanding basketball player at Duke and broadcast Pitt hoops until a few years ago when he was fired at almost 90 years old. He was very popular and it caused a bit of an uproar in The Burgh.

strange to struggle against Pittsburgh The Pirates are also 5-1 against the Dodgers this season. The strangeness of small sample sizes.

I believe he is suffering from MS these days.
