He won an MVP and two batting titles during the Lumber Company years, as the Pirates were called back then. You could make a strong case that he should be in the HOF. The Cobra had a solid arm in right field, too. Remember that throw he made in the All Star game? Few people remember, that is was a Graig Nettles single that started the whole play. |

He was a fearsome sight at the plate. He looked like he was standing ten feet from the pitcher. I believe he is suffering from MS these days. I had no idea. Another of Sarah's maladies that she had to endure for half her life. Parker was exciting to watch. I still like those old caps. |
