Luetge for player of the game… Certainly saving the bullpen. He can take a much deserved weekend off.

Peralta, King, and Holmes can now pitch the next two games without worry. Nice job by Lucas Luetge!

The 5 stages of falling asleep during the game:
1. Eyes get heavy. Concentrating less on the game. Posting less on the board. 2. Taking off my glasses and telling myself I'm only going to rest my eyes for a minute. 3. Putting away my laptop. Only going to rest my eyes for an inning or two. Still half listening to the announcers on the game. 4. Time to turn off the TV. Full blown 5. Wake up at 1 AM spry as a fox!
Anyway, 16 games up on the Sox. Life is good! YANKEEEEEEEEEESSS WWIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, THEEEE YANKEEEEEEESSSS WIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Jays lose on a walkoff to the Mariners.
Rays lose on a balk.
Red Sox embarrassed by the Yankees.
Orioles only 4 games behind the Blue Jays.
Yankees 15.5 games up on the closest competition (Rays) and 16 up on the Red Sox.
Great day of baseball in the AL East!
