No Judge again. He really shouldn't be playing in the All Star Game if he's banged up like this. Let him rest.
And why isn't Carpenter playing?

Scouting report on Ashcroft from Reddit:
After a tough ending to the Boston series, the yanks will open the homestand with a 3 game set versus the Reds. To start things off, they will face Rookie rigthy Graham Ashcraft. What a Baseball Name (And the Reds got another great name tomorrow). He owns a 4.35 ERA over 49.2 IP so far.
Some nuggets about Graham:
He throws a Cutter that has an average velocity of 98 mph. As you might expect, that is his best pitch (top 100 MLB) and he also uses it a lot. Against Lefties almost 60 %. Against those lefties his other two pitches, a Slider and a Sinker, sit at 20 %. Against righties, Ashcrafts approach is much more balanced: Cutter (40%), Slider (35 %) and Sinker (25%) are closer together.
The bigger slider usage is likely due to his approach on 2 Strike counts versus righties: You are going to see the slider a lot. And half of them way out of the zone. So just as usual the slider is his strikeout pitch.
Ashcraft has great control: he has only allowed 9 walks so far. Which puts him in the top 4% in Walk percentage. However, his Strikeout rate ranks in the bottom 5% in mlb this year. This very likely is a result of his bottom 2%(!!) Whiff rate this year. A lot of Contact is being made with his pitches. Which with a cutter at 98 is pretty surprising to me, usually Pitchers who throw very fast have problems locating that pitch but have great Whiff numbers. Well, with Ashcraft that isnt the case. All in all that results in a lot of balls in play. With that comes a volatility in actual ERA compared to expected ERA. His xERA sits at 3.74, which looks a lot better than the 4.35 actual ERA, but also means that there is bad defense behind him or/and he got unlucky with the spray of the balls in play.
His starts have been good to start the year. His recent outings havent been. At least 2 ER in his last 5 and 2 bad starts with 6 and 7 ER. But he could go deep into games in theory. So look out for this if the yanks cant get to him.
Ashcraft in theory is a really promising prospect, in 2 or 3 years time he might be one of the better pitchers in mlb. Lets see what the yanks can do to stall that process tho.

Boone can say whatever he wants, but Judge sitting again, when the Yanks had yesterday off, isn't a good sign. I'm with you Kay, he should skip the meaningless All Star Game if there's something wrong with him.

And why isn't Carpenter playing? It makes no sense after a day off. Boone has a rest fetish. These guys are well-conditioned athletes in their twenties and thirties and they need time off constantly? It's just weird.

I finally get the YES team and it's a rain delay. And it's not even raining. Being proactive. Probably Boone's idea.

I finally get the YES team and it's a rain delay. And it's not even raining. Odd that they delay starts now because of the forecasts, isn’t it? I guess it’s worse when a player making millions is struck by lightning than when the guys were making 15K…
