Maybe this will wake up this club to start putting teams away. Of course, when you have Judge and Carpenter on the bench for no reason at all, it's perplexing.

Poor lineup construction big problem in this one. Similar to the first Pittsburgh game. Like theres no reason to rest these guys right now.

Yankees need a closer... fix Chapman or trade for one. Holmes is not the answer, good reliever but he's not closer material..just my opinion...does not have closer mentality.

What makes you think that? The guy literally has been automatic they showed the stats yesterday and he had only given up like 3 runs and 6 walks in 30 appearances or something. It reminded me of a round of golf I played once where I just couldn’t get my alignement anywhere close to where it needed to be. I was slamming long screamers off the tee every single time, they were nice and straight but way to the right of my target. Ironically that was the day I made the only eagle I ever made, a hole out with a wedge from about 100 yards… |

If any Yankee deserved to get bailed out of a bad performance, it's Clay Holmes and Peralta was one strike away from doing that. Wandy is going to be kicking himself, he did the hard part, getting the first two outs without a run scoring. He just needed to finish the job. |
