They're no lock to make the playoffs. Still a lot of games to play. 3 Wild cards now certainly helps. I hate the continued expansion of the playoffs. It does water down the regular season. |

Kirk Gibson was such a good athlete. One thing that may have prevented him getting into an All-Star game was in the 1980s, two of the Detroit spots were going to be Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker.

The last pitch Cole throws is at 101. That's one of the things that makes Cole different from many other starting pitchers. He keeps his velocity throughout. |
