There has to be something wrong with Stanton. I saw something on Twitter earlier where he said he was little banged up but hoped to play on Tues.

Well, let's hope the bats open up on Non-dairy Kremer. Scouting report on reddit for Non-dairy Kremer:
Finishing off the series against the Orioles, the yanks are going to face Righty Deam Kremer.
Over 41.2 IP this year he owns a 2.59 ERA.
Some nuggets about Kremer:
Kremer throws a 4sm and Cutter. Those are his bread and butter Pitches. In fact, righties will see 44% of the 4sm and 44% of the Cutter and just some Curveballs and Changeups. Against Lefties its still 44% of the 4sm but way less of the Cutter but instead more of the Changeup.
His Cutter and 4sm have been graded as pretty good according to Baseball Savant. Both being in the upper quadrant of mlb pitches. The Curveball and the Changeup arent tho. But the Cutter and the 4sm arent high in velocity. He relies on the positioning of his pitches and that in turn leads to whiffs. If he makes mistakes, you can hit off him. Problem is, he doesnt miss very often this season. Thats why his ERA is low and has put together 1.2 WAR after only 41.2 IP.
To be fair, Kremer seems to have quite a bit of luck too. His expected stats are way worse than his actual stats: xERA: 5.22, xFIP: 4.63. And this does align with his stats prior to this year in the majors where he posts a 5.29 career ERA over a limited amount of IP in his 3 years in the majors. Kremer was a part of the Machado Deal back in 2018. And i would argue he hadnt lived up to the expectations prior to this year. If he can keep it up and somehow put up these numbers for the rest of the season i expect him to be a part of the rotation next year.
Looking at the movement of his pitches one thing is very funny: Prior to this year they moved a lot and they where worth negative runs. This year they dont move and are now worth positive runs. I guess he put a little more emphasis on location which is helping him out.
Kremer had his first outing in June this year. He has been very good until 2 weeks ago (was down to a 1.29 ERA). Then he had two bad starts and now has his 2.59 ERA. He doesnt really go all that deep into games. Sure he has on 7.0 IP game, but he mostly gets to his 90-100 Pitches somewhere in Inning 5. So i expect we will see more of the great Orioles Bullpen today.
Lets all hope the yankees regress Kremer back to his mean today.

I picked him up for my fantasy team as a reverse jinx. Of course, I picked up Bundy yesterday and didn't exactly work out.
