Just received a notice that Severino was placed on the 60-day IL with a lat strain. The guy may have to become a reliever; he just cannot stay healthy. Yep. He's pitched a total of 104 innings over the course of his four-year contract. Ugh.

And Johnny L follows with a strong inning. He walked Santana on four pitches, only the umpire called strike one on the fourth pitch. Then he fought his way into the count and eventually got him on a line out… But he still looked pretty good

And Johnny L follows with a strong inning. I thought he turned a corner last game with the shape of that two-seamer, looking more like it did last season.

I stil have a tough time accepting we lost that 1995 Wild Card Series to the Ms. It was one of those stomach churning losses. Little did we know what was directly ahead. But sad for Donnie Baseball.

From 5/16 to 7/2 Trevino ripped 7 HR and knocked in 22 runs in 31 games. He had gone without a home run since until tonight… Let’s hope he’s starting another spree…

Buck only allowed Mo to pitch 2/3rd of one inning in that game five, going too long with Cone, not long enough with Mo, banishing Wetteland, and relying on Black Jack McDowell.
