Benintendi now one for his last 30 and 1-21 as a Yankee. Bentintendi, Hicks, and Gleyber a combined 1 for their last 73!
Good lord!

Benintendi now one for his last 30 and 1-21 as a Yankee. The Gallo Effect: Purported inter-dimensional stain, in which negative energy is thought to have saturated the very fabric of space/time, leading to the concept of eternal recursion, one of Friedrich Nietzsche's most famous ideas appearing in the penultimate section of his book, "The Gay Science" and in "Thus Spake Zarathustra." I remember those from Philosophy courses in college. Well done.

Here we go again, all kind of base runners, but very little scoring.

I'm not entirely certain what that means, but it sounds as good as any explanation I've heard. Does it have any relation to Kierkegaard's teleological suspension of the ethical as set forth in "Fear and Trembling?" Or is it more in line with what Strawberry Alarm Clock was trying to convey in "Incense and Peppermints?"

Hicks adjusted his stance. That front foot looks to be in a different position. Yep, it's pointed toward infamy if he breaks Joe D's bizarro-world 56 game non-hitting streak.

Fear and Trembling was the great Dane's take on the story of Abraham and Issac, the internal and the external, and the concept of infinite resignation as a precondition for faith. We had the 45 of Incense and Peppermints.

I must admit the Cardinals' uniforms are among my favorites. That birds on the bat logo was first used in 1922. Cardinal manager Branch Rickey was attending a Presbyterian fellowship meeting and the decorations were a grouping of paper cutout cardinals. He liked the look and had it incorporated onto the jersey.
Although they had long been known as the Cardinals, it referred to the color, not the bird.

Too much of the plate with that pitch. So close to getting out to trouble.

A two out walk then a lousy two strike pitch to Molina and the game is tied.

Ok, I'm done.
