The Yankees used 5 relievers today, none of them has pitched better than Ron Marinaccio this season. This organization used to be all about winning, not so much anymore.

Toronto has gained seven games on the Yankees since July 12.

This is the first time the Yankees' lead in the AL East has fallen below 10 games since June 15. Toronto has gained seven games on the Yankees since July 12. The Yankees are lucky the Jays are only 6-4 in their last 10 or there would be more heat. |

Yanks will go on a 20-5 W/L run, probably relatively soon in mid-late August and all will be forgotten. But will the glaring holes pop up in October? That's the worry, and why trading away pitching depth was a concern.
