When I first read that DeJong comment I thought what a classless thing to say. But then I noticed he was only 18 years old when he wrote that, so I'll give him a pass.

I thought only loser Cub and Red Sox fans believed in curses. Curses no but team morale def took a hit with the Monty trade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You think the Yankees have problems ? Try being the Padres who all the experts are calling an NL favorite etc 2-3 since the trade deadline and in danger of being swept by the dodgers which would put them 15.5 out.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah, the Dodgers are still beastly and probably the ultimate team to beat. So deep. And they've owned San Diego, 16-2 in the last eighteen. But I don't think many people thought the Padres would catch LA during the season. They're designed for the post-season. So far Soto hasn't taken off and Tatis isn't back yet. My money would still be on a Dodgers- Mets NLCS, but I think the Padres could be a factor. It will be one of the more interesting NL post-seasons in recent years.

Kind of happy I missed this one. I cannot believe all the hits we totaled and still lost. Even more fascinating is the loss went to Abreu and not Effross and the horse he road in on. So, the score was 9-9, and Effross gave up three runs for the final tally of 12-9. But, Abreu gets the loss because of his pitching in the fifth inning? I never did like that rule.
We are 0-5 without Gallo. I think Cashman took something out of this club with the Monty trade. When we pitch, we don't hit, and when he hit we don't pitch. We are not ham and egging it, like a golf scramble or best ball. Something to be said for chemistry, which I always enjoyed. Physics was even more fun.
Cashman took an action for the future, allegedly, which is killing us right now. I'm really tired of Cashman as GM; someone needs to put him back in the mailroom, where he started as an unpaid intern.

Correct. 9-8, then 12-8, then the meaningless HR by DJ in the ninth… … Judge’s fault. He should have driven in 7 or 8… 🤓
