Probably not while cashman is here They still lead the American League in runs scored, the problem is the lack of depth to fill in for Carpenter, DJ and Stanton now that they're out of the lineup. |

It’s a good thing we have Hicks and Donaldson to make up for Gallo’s production. I’ll throw up in my mouth if they are on this team next year.

I hate to tell you, but Hicks is signed through 2025 and he'd be a hard guy to deal as he gets into his mid-30s. The only way the Yankees get rid of him is if they eat his salary. The Yanks are also on the hook for Donaldson next year at a much higher salary. |

It's not my money but the Yankees have plenty of it and at some time you have to bite the bullet and move on. Hopefully it will be this off season. If that mystery man we got in the Montgomery trade is worth a damn the time for Hicks as anything other than a 4th outfielder(or 5th depending on Stanton) my be here sooner than later. |

Aaron Hicks Hits New Yankees Low With 'Embarrassing' Performance Against Rays
...Hicks is under contract with New York until after the 2026 season. At a certain point—if not already—this club needs to assess where he fits on this big-league roster, though.
The Yankees acquired outfielder Harrison Bader from the Cardinals at the trade deadline, a candidate to play over Hicks in center field this October and into next season, but Bader is currently on the injured list (plantar fasciitis) and won't make his Yankee debut until next month at the earliest.
With New York reeling—2-10 since the deadline—the Yankees might consider promoting a player from Triple-A, giving them some playing time in an effort to provide a spark. Outfielder Estevan Florial has been swinging a hot bat all season in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
DO ME'S THOUGHTS: Hicks in his last 53 AB has only 5 Hits = Maybe he needs to eat some Mas Honey???

I know Hick's is making a ton of money but I actually felt a little bad for him last night. He was, and has been, totally lost at the plate. Very Galloesque. Unfortunately his ineptitude has been increasing over time so I kinda doubt we are going to see a lot of improvement. I am not a fan of Boone but he just doesn't have many options at this point. Hicks, Donaldson and Benitendi have all been terrible, particularly with RISP. It has to improve sometime doesn't it? |
