Question too new for you old fogies? Never heard of any of those guys. Now Don Larsen, there was a pitcher. Seriously, it's startling that three of the 23 perfectos have been thrown against the Rays, who are only in their 25th year of existence. The Yankees have never been on the wrong end of a perfect game. Charlie Robertson of the White Sox threw a perfect game in 1922. There wasn't another one until Larsen's World Series game in 1956. |

You and me too. You could always count on him to get a good number of wins, he rarely missed a turn, and he worked quickly. I always loved his game. He was always connected to the Yankees in trade and FA rumors. But never acquired. The one that stings the most for me was not trading Eduardo Nunez and Jesus Montero for Cliff Lee in 2010. |
