You and me too. You could always count on him to get a good number of wins, he rarely missed a turn, and he worked quickly. I always loved his game. He was always connected to the Yankees in trade and FA rumors. But never acquired. The one that stings the most for me was not trading Eduardo Nunez and Jesus Montero for Cliff Lee in 2010. Aargh, that would have been a game changer. Lee was another tough cookie. Montero was the Jasson Dominguez of his day. Not saying Dominguez will end up the same way, only that like Montero he has superhuman abilities attributed to him. |

We need some more runs in our games... What are we at now--15 innings without a run? Who's counting. We lost a game where we went like 4 extra innings, which meant even one hit in any of them likely would have scored. That is the definition of offensive incompetence. |
