Really stupid to take Benintendi out of the lead off role. Plus I really enjoyed DJ coming up with runners on base. Just really stupid of Boone

Just really stupid of Boone I guess the thinking is because they are facing a lefty they drop him down since Benintendi doesn't hit lefties as well. Probably right. Except Benintendi is hot right now, and even if he weren't a .275 BA and .360 OBP against lefties this season is nothing to sneeze at with this line up. Only two players hit above .275 total: Judge at .296 and LeMahieu at .278. I like DJ coming up with men on base, hitting behind the runners to right field. |

How're the waves breaking in New Jersey, Kay? Anything interesting to report from The Garden State? Not much to report. I told you about my trip to Asbury Park. We hung out at a pool and had good Italian food. I hit 160 pounds on the dot (I’m six feet tall). I don’t think I’m going to try to lose anymore weight just maintain. And I have my two fantasy football drafts coming up next week. Those are the highlights in my mostly boring life. How are things with you? |

That sounds awfully skinny to me, but I've always had heavy bones. 100 pounds in the first grade. I think I was 175 as a freshman in high school at around the same height. Great to hear you're where you want to be - it took a heck of a lot of discipline to get there and quite the accomplishment. And, you still get to celebrate with ice cream! Dallas has its positives - people are generally kind and easy to make laugh. But, that one a-hole in a hundred saps my good vibes. For me, I'm still searching for an honest man, the truth of the ages, the secret to serenity, the state of grace, and the best store-bought salsa. I have good days and bad days, some days an amalgam of both, other days I think handgun or rope? Then, I feel bad about the poor bastard that would have to clean up afterward, and go buy some Haagen Dazs ice cream. You know, typical week for a major clinical depressive.  |
