Okay, Pipps, does this era count...catcher 1901 to 1911 Bill Bergen 21 OPS+. You win the internet today Rizz. I was thinking "no deadball era uglies" but never put it in writing. Billy Hamilton's OPS+ was more than triple Bergen's. If there's someone lower, I'm not even sure I want to know |

Okay, Pipps, does this era count...catcher 1901 to 1911 Bill Bergen 21 OPS+. Even Tony Suck had a 24, albeit in only two seasons. In over 3,200 PAs, Bergen had a WAR of minus 6.9 and an OBP of .190. He must have had compromising photos of the team owner. |
