How did they not tag him out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I thought they had him at first. And how did this Harold Ramirez burst upon the scene so suddenly?

Dreary, wet rainy day again here in Texas. Good to have a ball game to watch, even if it isn't any brighter in Tropicana Field.

Weak groundout for Torres, he was running down the line.

Hello Walls gets Torres at first. Why is he still playing? He was resting more in the first half when he was actually hitting.

Unbelievable, how can you watch this wretched offense for the entire month of August and not try something different, like playing some young guys with talent? I have to say, as proud as I would be to be a Yankee, being called up and performing well, then being sent back down (and even traded) is the wrong message to send to young guys. It happens to often. It is like a varition of Cutting off Your Nose to Spite Your Face. Really, we need to treat the young guys better as this can have a detrimental effect on them.

Yikes, you can hear the thunder in the backround from outside this dump.

I have not, but I pass by it everyday I drive to work. And, usually that line from "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" pops in my head, as delivered from Paul Newman, "It was the Cotton Bowl, Sister-woman."

I didn't know for many years that it was written by Willie Nelson. And, he wrote "Crazy" for Patsy Cline. He could have stopped right there and probably lived off the residuals. I still do not understand how he was bankrupt for several years, even after his Stardust album from 1978. And, thanks for noticing, Pipps!

I was reading awhile back that it hosts Powderpuff League Football. Blondes vs. Brunettes. Just a friendly suggestion.

By the way, if any of you young bucks have never seen "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with Burl Ives, Paul Newman, and Elizabeth Taylor from 1958, do yourself a favor, pop some popcorn and enjoy one of my favorite movies. Adapted from the stage play by the great Tennessee Williams who was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for the work.

Seriously, same year Willie wrote "Hello Walls" he wrote "Funny How Time Slips Away." First version I heard of that was a 1964 huge R&B hit for Joe Hinton. Love that one.
