It wouldn't be shocking for him to make his third trip to the IL this season. It's a shame because he's a force when he's healthy, but he's only played in a little over half the team's games in the past four years. The Yankees simply can not count on him to be available and should plan accordingly. It's just a bonus when he is able to play. Five more years on the contract after this one. I think he played almost all of last year. I don't remember him missing much time last year? Other than that yea last few seasons have been very sproadic though he did have a couple good playoff series in those years so they def need that version of Stanton to show up. True, last year was his healthiest of the past four. He played 18 games in 2019, 23 (out of 60) in 2020, 139 in 2021 and so far 90 out of 135 this year.

This turned out to be a big play in the game since Taillon was getting hit hard in that inning.

Case closed for MVP. I can't imagine an event like that has happened very often.

Greg Weissert with hit second win already. Cashmen will trade him now that he has a couple of wins like he did Sears.

Like a young inger out there! … So many times I wished we HAD fences. If a ball got by us it was usually going to be a home run. Plus, many of the fences were chain link, so the ball would clink against it and stick there, no rebound…and running into them made you feel like you were being put through a cheese grater, with the wounds to match at times. Hard to explain to your wife why you keep coming home with bloody body parts and torn jeans… oh well…

Yankees are going to get some help in the standings if they keep winning. Toronto and Baltimore are playing each other and Baltimore lost twice so that puts them a full 10 games over Baltimore.
Tampa won vs Boston and has a couple more games vs them
Then Tampa and the Yankees play but right after that Tampa and Toronto play for four while the Yankees are at Fenway.
