This is why when you trade for these guys you gotta see if they can perform in NY. As we have saw with Ohtani he has pitched bad in NY both times he was there.
I've been wondering about this. It took Beni a good little bit before he settled in. Montas hasn't done it. Gallo couldn't do it. Is there really truth to living in NY? I'd imagine most players live outside of the city (I think Gallo lived in it), but still ... you have to get used to the commute, the higher cost of living, the hustle n bustle, the MEDIA, the fans, etc. I've been here 11 years now and I'm def a lot more calmer than when I first moved here, but for a while there everything was a whirlwind.

Its a combination of that and the high expectations and pressure from all the media and fans. How many beat writers do the Yankees have compared to Oakland?

Nelson is better than Flaherty, Beltran, and Maybin. He should call more games.

"Stopping this" and Lucas Luetge ... pretty sure that's an oxymoron.

I can’t begin to fathom living in NY. We’re leaving Pueblo, CO in part because of the 100,000 people in the city, near 40 people in Pueblo West (where we actually live) and maybe another 30,000 in out lying parts of Pueblo County. If that was the only issue I had, I’d possibly stay here, but it’s also too hot here. We’re still hovering around 90 degrees here now…

We’re still hovering around 90 degrees here now… Yikes. 71 here in Brooklyn.

Nelson is better than Flaherty, Beltran, and Maybin. He should call more games. Maybin grew on me quickly. He has an odd sort mixture of light Ebonics and southern twang. Once I could pick up what he was saying, his warm and friendly personality and sense of humor won me over…

We’re still hovering around 90 degrees here now… Yikes. 71 here in Brooklyn. Most of the time from mid June to Late August is around 95-102 degrees. We’re moving to a place where the summer might top out at 90 for a week or so. Cold winters, yes. But worth it! …
