Just imagine if we had made a trade for Soto right now. Probably no more Volpe, and either Cabrera or Peraza gone along with a pitcher. Then the guy goes 3 for 48 or something like that… The fans would be killing him right now…
I imagine Soto has lost a tiny bit of swagger now, trying to live up to his own cockiness…

“Hopefully, he comes in and throws the ball well,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “I thought he looked really good in his rehab outing the other day. He’s got to earn certain spots in there. I’ll try to get him in there where hopefully he can be successful and throw the ball like he’s capable of, because physically, it’s there.”
