Judge only has the remnant of this game and tomorrow to be the first non-chemically enhanced player to hit 61 in 154 games. I hate seeing Judge’s name being comped up with the likes of Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa… |

Today and yesterday are the ONLY two days in the 90 days since my last appointment that my blood sugar has remained under 200 at each reading. Might not sound like much, but since I was topping out at just under 400 and often walking about hovering near 300, it’s quite nice to see… Inger what are you taking to control your blood sugar? |

Can’t yield to temptation. I go to the doctor tomorrow. Today and yesterday are the ONLY two days in the 90 days since my last appointment that my blood sugar has remained under 200 at each reading. Might not sound like much, but since I was topping out at just under 400 and often walking about hovering near 300, it’s quite nice to see… Congrats inger! Keep up the good work! I’m not even sure what’s happened. Yesterday, lunch was a pork and bean sandwich (actually two) on wheat bread. Dinner was a 6” Subway Italian sub on a wheat role. Today I was late with my smoothie, so I called that lunch, and I ate the other half of the Italian sub from yesterday for supper. The only change I can think of is that a week ago I went into GNC to buy one of my smoothie ingredients, Amazing Grass berry blend and they were out. I reluctantly bought some “Ghost” guava berry instead. There are like 30 vegetable varieties in it. Maybe something I needed? … |

I remember that as a kid. Other kids were claiming that he believed he really was Superman and shot himself to prove it. Lots of folk wisdom there. Remember Coach Reeves on "The White Shadow?" |

I was a weekly devotee of that show. Ken Howard was very believable as the coach. Great show. Carver High. Coolidge and Thorpe and Salami. Ken Howard was supposedly called The White Shadow as the only white guy on his high school team. That was something to which I could relate in my youth. |

That was something to which I could relate in my youth. I remember a Saturday Night Live skit "The Black Shadow" in which Bill Russell played a black coach in an affluent white high school. Russell did a good job handling the parody. |

I’m currently on insulin, and have continued Metformin, which is supposedly the base drug of diabetes therapy. Of course, I’ve pretty much abandoned sweets and am attempting to avoid carbs while upping fiber intake… |
