Why was Oswaldo playing so far back on that Straw blooper? Why were they shifting that way on Jose Ramirez?
Just bad coaching.
Exactly! They are barely hitting these balls out of the infield why play like they are all power hitters. They have two power hitters and one of them can barely walk right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ughhhhhh I'm so pissed anthony!

Yea I am too like if you get blown out or something you can accept it but losing in the last inning in back to back days to bloop hits? Like that is just so unnecessary and lame. Those are so accurate lol.. Well I guess only good thing is the Yankees have been in control most of this series so hopefully they can be in control the entire game to the end. In 2018, 2019, 2021 it never felt like they had the upper hand. 2020 was just a weird series they lost in 5 games by a run or two on a neutral site. However, the other years they def looked out matched I don't feel that is the case here. This was just terrible management in the last inning two games in a row.

We probably can't get by Houston, especially with Boone managing, so what to do vs Cleveland? Just let Boone "manage". Not putting in our best reliever in a short playoff series and with the lead is inexcusable. I think it is better that we "sacrifice" this series (i.e. Just let Boone be Boone) in the hope that he gets fired. What a terrible manager.

I want them to face Houston again they didn't score much in the Seattle series I think the Yankees could give them a good shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In NY Post articles this morning, it seems Yankee players were also scratching their heads over Boone’s bullpen management, including Severino and Clay Holmes who woke up feeling good and had expected to pitch.
If the Yankees lose this series - and I believe they will - Boone should be shown the door. Because Heaven only knows why the possibility is that Boone will return next season and Judge won’t, I’ll have to start watching pickle ball tournaments.

Don't forget the Johnsonville Brats corn hole tour as alternate sports entertainment.

Perhaps I’ve done myself quite a favor by moving at post season time and not having so much invested in this flustercluck…

The front office needs a house cleaning too, starting with Cashman, but Hal doesn't have the guts to do it.

It sounds as if Boone never told Holmes he was unavailable. You would think they would communicate on a minor issue like this, wouldn't you? Boone has an almost pathological obsession with rest and routine physical discomfort. He acts like a hyper-sensitive mommy worried that her toddler has a sad face. Even if the Yankees lose this series I doubt the Yankees would let Boone go unless there was enormous backlash from the fan base. He does exactly what the front office wants him to do, just as Cashman does exactly what Hal wants him to do with a budget that will always be enough to put together an above .500 team. Media revenues are through the roof, attendance is great, nobody sells more merchandise. Fans care about a ring. Hal cares about maximizing his profits. If he can keep raking it in without ever getting to a World Series, that's obviously fine with him. Jacob Ruppert was obsessed with winning. Dan Topping was obsessed with winning. George Steinbrenner was obsessed with winning. As a result, they won.

Hal has been very explicit that he doesn't share the old man's attitude toward winning. It seems like he could avoid The Boss's bad traits, which were ample, and still be devoted to getting more rings. Judge, Stanton, LeMahieu, Rizzo (no need to mention Donaldson or Hicks) -- these are not players whose best years are ahead of them. Dubious as it looks right now, I still haven't thrown in the towel for this year (although it's in my hand and I'm cocking back my arm), but it feels like the Yankees are perilously close to squandering years of hope with nothing to show for it. The Baby Bombers of 2017 were supposed to have a few notches on the belt by now.
