Abreu would’ve had the 2nd highest OPS on the Yankees last year and the Astros just casually picked him up Truth. Yet, he’s a year older than the first baseman we just retained, and he bats right-handed, vs. Rizzo’s left hand stick. By any measures I’ve ever been aware of Abreu is a bat-first guy. The Astros had a need. The Yanks didn’t. It’s all good with me…

Let's be clear, I never stated we needed Abreu nor did I want the Yankees to sign him. I was just pointing out how bad the rest of the team was offensively and the lack of movement from the Front office in making moves.

I wasn’t intending to argue, just to point out that trades and free agency are about much more than OPS. Besides, the Astros got him, but what if they paid too much, A-Man?… 😂

No thank you. Another DH, and one that appears to be headed into his decline phase at 36 next season. His time has passed. Leg the non-contenders scrap over him…

If I had a six-year plan like Domeplease, that would be on my list of changes required. We fall in love with bats much too quickly. Leather and legs woukd be helpful… in fact, that never hurts… 🤓

Brantley has a lifetime .298 avg, that's way too high for the Yankees, we're used to the sub .250 types.

The Rays spend some cash. This is the largest free agent contract in Rays history I think 3 years, 40 million for Eflin. Yup, largest in Rays history, what a joke that is.
