This is going to be our first-ever Thanksgiving at home since we got together. We always went to Ruthie’s daughter’s house before we left MD and we had neighbors in Pueblo West that would have been very hurt if we didn’t go to their house. But, they moved to Colorado Springs, and we moved in the opposite direction, so some 3.5 hours apart.
Sometimes it’s just time to move on…
So, Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all… a good night…

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I have to be careful on this day for TEQUILA is a Bird = Go Figure.
Plus, I celebrate this day, ONLY as a day to Give Thanks For Friends...

Our turkey breast came out absolutely perfect! Nice and juicy and tasty. We have enough left for sandwiches, and each had one last night.
While most of world is ripping through stores in a demonstration of gluttony, we’ll head out here in a bit and go to a wildlife sanctuary with the knowledge that we’re unlikely to encounter many… if any… other humans… Or maybe a light 4-wheel experience near the hills.
The Sangre de Cristos are an unusual mountain range because they were formed by an earthquake, so there are no foothills. But if we go west the San Juan Mountains are more traditionally formed by volcanic eruptions and foot hills, nooks and crannies abound. That’s my favorite direction to head for. Canyons, cliffs, huge boulders and wildlife are plentiful…
