AS Long as they are Healthy and Cole stops giving up so many HRS and Montas gets back to his Oakland form.
Myself, I would have signed the Japense Pitcher--worried about Rodon'a Arm???

Guidry's slider was off the charts...I don't see Rodon's slider as good as Gator's.

Guidry's slider was off the charts...I don't see Rodon's slider as good as Gator's. “If he compared Rodon’s slider to mine, that’s a pretty damn good compliment,” the 72-year-old said. Guidry added, “If you wait until spring training, I can see him in spring training and I can give you a better indication if it reminds me of me. But he’s got a good (slider) from what I’ve seen on television.”

It was stated that Catfish Hunter ate so much, he made himself sick. And, what an athlete. Gator was known as the fastest or second fastest guy on the those teams (occasionally pinch running) and could punt a football over 50 yards at a mere 160 pounds. Watching Guidry and Munson work to negotiate an opposing lineup was nothing short of joyful.

It's amazing. An inability to get on base in the play offs cost us any chance to reach the WS. And we spent a ton of money without doing anything to improve our anemic hitting. Its why we won't be winning WS while Cashman runs the Yankees.

If I remember correctly, 55 was the number of my basketball jerseys (home and away) my freshman year of high school. I think my sophomore year, it was 35, then 33 my junior and senior years. I really wanted 23 in honor of Donnie Mattingly, but the lower numbers were all small and medium sizes.

Always will remind me of my favorite Japanese import and adult film connoisseur Hideki Matsui.
