Jamie Westbrook, a minor league 2B hit the first one. Thanks, Chi. I didn’t recognize him at all… This is his first year in the Yankee organization, so he is an unknown. He's played for several organizations during his minor league career.

How much worse can he be than Donaldson and Hicks at the plate? And, we know he has the speed and the arm to play left field in Yankee Stadium. Would he be worse than Stanton or Cabrera in left field?

Stanton with three at bats and three Ks today. Are you surprised? SWINGING FOIR THE FENCES and getting nothing in return. Go Figure. Yet many like him because of his Bat Speed as he whiffs time and time again (giggles).

Yep, the only centerfielder build like a fire plug that I recall was the late, great Kirby Puckett.

The sound went out on the broadcast here so I’ve had to watch six Yankee runs score on a pair of three run homers. No idea who hit the one to left, but Dominguez hit the second one. 8-6 Yankees is a nice surprise at this point…

He was before any of our times, but Hack Wilson was a CFer at 5'6" and well over 200 pounds. An 18-inch neck, a size five shoe, and usually hung over. Apparently he scurried around very quickly somehow. Although he was built more like a light bulb than a fire plug. Andruw Jones was still mainly a CFer through his age 31 season, and still played it sometimes at age 33 before retiring at age 35. I can't remember exactly at what point in his career he ate himself out of center, but I think at least for awhile he was waddling around out there.

I can't remember exactly at what point in his career he ate himself out of center, but I think at least for awhile he was waddling around out there. For about three seasons I played softball in a situation where the opposing 3B was often a fellow who was in his fifties. He was probably about 5’6” and 275 or so, but he was the most nimble 3B I ever played against. Being a dead pull hitter that hit the ball hard whether it was on the ground or on a line I simply couldn’t get anything past that man. He would make amazing dives, left and right and recover on his feet with quick accurate throws. I played against some younger 3B that thought they were amazing and I undressed a few of them with shots down the line. Some of them just stared back at me like “how did you hit that past the amazing me?”. But not so with this older fellow. They say he was unbelievable as a youth…

I like that German has switched to number 0 this year in a symbolic fresh start. I’m going to try to forget his past this year and give him that chance. It won’t be easy… but maybe tgat number 0 will keep me focused on that…

Lemahieu out stretching a double. The good news is he hit it well. On replay looks like he was safe, but they don't challenge.

Andujar looking bad in RF until he showcases his arm. The man can make the long throw…
