Laz Diaz hates balloons and strike zones and salads. and letting the 1st base umpire handle the balk calls.

I've been watching this game since 1957 and I still can't define a balk.

Laz Diaz pops a balloon and then makes a terrible call on Donaldson. It wasn’t even all that great of a balloon pop, either…

Boone with the tiresome mandatory pitching change. Easy. There are several ways to get charged with a balk. The most common way is to do anything at all to disturb the umpire. It’s like a bee’s nest. Point at it discreetly with a stick, but never poke it with the stick… If the umpire would like a short break from bending over behind the plate, expect a balk call. If the umpire has intestinal gas, expect a balk call. I think I’ve covered all aspects of the rule…

Are you going to have to make radical dietary changes? It’s hard to say. I mean, the answer is yes, but that’s really hard for me to say. Last night we had a casserole and I had a huge serving of lettuce with it. I enjoyed it… it was strange though because the base of the salad was white rice. After dinner my glucose was the lowest it had been all day. I was surprised to see a high reading an hour after my smoothie today. The frozen fruit? But they encourage diabetics to consume fruit. Anyway, new doctor, new outlook. He tells me that I’ve been treating my disease like a trash can fire and in reality it’s a 4-alarm house fire. I’m at that point in life where there are certain realizations, one being that Ingerson’s don’t have much of a known history, but that we know of indicates pretty short life spans. It’s not that I’m “ready” to go, but that I realize that some of us have better genes and better habits than others. I don’t expect I’ll be posting here when I’m 80, mostly because I don’t expect to hang around that long… I have my suspicions that the entire dietary recommendations over the last sixty years have been BS. Too many people seem to have opposite effects from the same diet. There are some that have rid themselves of autoimmune and skin problems by going on radical all-meat diets. So much variance that may be tied to genetic predispositions over eons.

So much variance that may be tied to genetic predispositions over eons. I’m back to taking three readings per day and recording them. I always find some unusual results that make me believe that it’s very confusing finding out what does and doesn’t work…
