The pace of the game was so much better than we've seen in the past. I can't overstate how much I love the new pitch clock. I was skeptical in the beginning. But it’s amazing how much time players can fritter away with meaningless physical habits and posturing. The closest thing I can think of is being on the golf course and having one of those dopes in front of you that thinks he has to take three practice swings over each of his iron shots and then still has a mishit every hole… |

I think they should get rid of that batter has to be in the box an looking at the pitcher in 8 seconds stuff. I doesn't accomplish anything and just confuses the players, fans and even the umpires. |

I doesn't accomplish anything and just confuses the players, fans and even the umpires. It’s a bit quick, but I do think it’s fair to hold batters to some sort of standard. Eight seconds? Ten seconds? 12.732 seconds? The time seems a bit arbitrary, but to give the batter as much time as the pitcher seems a bit too much… |
