This may not be popular, but I am just not sold on Schmidt. He only seems to have one pitch to put batters away. He needs something more for lefties. Jhony Brito is so much better right now in my eyes.

Volpe off to a 3-for-18 start at the plate Yep, I think he was 2 for 6 at one point. A few of his strikeouts were due to awful calls on pitches well off the plate for strike three. He's kind of in between being aggressive and patient. I wouldn't doubt that umpires are better in the minors. |
