Fearless prediction: We score 6+ runs tonight despite the bozo lineup. Bozo prediction.

This morning my sugar was very low for me at 122. Somehow I got through my “lunch” (smoothie) and was still 118. Then Ruthie decided to fix a frozen pizza for dinner. It’s not her fault, I bought the damned thing. But tonight I’m at 270. The highest reading I’ve had since 4/13. Got to get back on track tomorrow… How does it change so quickly? Is that normal? Pizza is not a good dietary choice. To give you an idea though, when I went to the doctor he told me that my A1C of 9.4 meant that my average sugar had been 207 over the past three month period. Since then, as I’ve been attempting to make adjustments I’ve taken 81 readings and only 17 of them have been at or higher than 200. It’s been a struggle. Not everything seems to work the same on different people, so I’ve had to experiment during that time…

Well, Ryan Rucco said the last time the Twins dismantled the Yankees like this was 2001, which was when Tom Kelly was the manager. This Twins team plays solid defense, has power, can hit, and has a dominant closer. If they got another solid starter, they would be tough in a series. They don't make many mistakes, which was a Tom Kelly characteristic of his teams. The only thing they do not have is a running game/base stealers.

Ruthie is considered “borderline diabetic and when I retake her readings she’s usually around 125 or so. I would think give or take 100 or a bit less to be normal. Dome told me he recently had an 83, but he’s possibly a vampire 🧛‍♀️…

To further explain these quick jolts are medically referred to as “spikes”. Sugar at the higher ranges can damage the blood vessels to the heart, the kidneys, liver, and about any other internal organ you can think of. I shudder to think what my sugar was at times during the year I was at A1C 11.3. That was when I went on medication. About 1.5 years ago I went on insulin, but I was still struggling to get out of the nines. My doctor in Pueblo West was allowing me to make excuses and change medications and habits gradually. The one we just got a couple months of so ago told me it was time to fix it or face death relatively soon. Death doesn’t really scare me, but I don’t want to leave Ruthie with the problems my death would bring her. Not yet, anyway. I know her daughter will take her in, but… Anyway, between this and what is currently going on with my BP (too low) I’m at risk for a heart attack or stroke. I’m trying to dig out of that hole, but with lightheadedness an issue, exercise is not viable…

They have some guys with the speed, but choose not to run. Injury risk seems to be something they don’t want to tolerate. Injuries. Man. At some point you just have to play baseball… damn the torpedoes and all that…

They still were roughly 500 before this series so we will see what happens. Who had the bright idea of giving them 7 games against the Yankees in the first month of the season?
