Perfect location of a fastball to strike out Volpe. All he could have done was foul it off. If Volpe had taken the first two pitches, they were balls. He might have walked. But that’s sort of his game, aggressive earmybj the count, followed by discipline… He’s coming around at the plate… |

I was thinking he threw the slider… I would have welcomed the slider, because it would have at least been on a different plane than the cutter. Finishing at the back foot would have been something better than three straight cutters. |
