In fairness to Boone, there's a lot of stench on this roster. That's an understatement, really. We've essentially got 3 rookies starting or playing regularly that struggle to hit .200, Torres hitting about 40 points under where he should, DJ also hitting 40-50 points below where he should. Our best hitter out, and slumping before he got hurt. And we have Hicks. That's not even looking at the pitching. Don't know what we can do to change all that in the short run. What we do is write this year off as a mini rebuild PERIOD!!!
Bring up more high value prospects (Call up Florial and give him quality playing time and other HV Prospects).
Get rid of Hicks, Donaldson, Torres, etc hopefully maybe getting maybe something for one or two of them.
DO MORE & MORE ACTIVE Coaching and Call up Florial and give him quality playing time/training with the other Prospects we call up.
FIRE BOONE AND CASH.
Talk with Stanton about waving his no-trade clause.
Hire a mgr. that is good at working with prospects.
Do more sretching excerises, as part of physical training program. etc. etc. etc. (just ask Ichiro Suzuki how he kept healthy and in shape)
AND NO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not blame it this all on injuries.

Couldn't sleep last night, fell asleep just as the game started and awakened around 4:30 PM. Once again, glad I missed this one. We are headed for the basement of the AL East because our pitchers cannot be expected to keep opponents from scoring three runs or fewer each and every game. Amazing the difference without the mere presence of Judge, even when he is not hitting at an MVP level.

While I think Volpe has shown the most of the three this year we are seeing what happens when you have too many prospects playing at once. Yet you want to bring up more? The Yankees haven't won the world series since 2009 they are too big of a big market team to not care about the season when there are 3 wildcards now and somewhere roughly 88 wins or so gets in. That would be a massive failure if they don't get into the playoffs. They need some solid bench players you can't depend on rookies and below average retreads to win games consistently. Also stop with these ridiculous bozo lineups. Baseball players are creatures of habit. They need to stick to at least the same framework of lineup with Volpe Judge Rizzo on top then Stanton (if healthy) Torres DJ. That top I feel can be productive. Then from there you get what you get with the 7-9 between Bader Oswaldo Catcher position etc. Willie Calhoun should not be batting 4th or 5th I don't care who is injured Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've said this before but I repeat why would I want to be the rays who have 0 World Series wins 2 appearances and the rest of their 25 year or so history of non playoff appearances and first round exits. Imagine if the Yankees either didn't make the playoffs or exited first round 23 of 25 years.

This morning I woke up before the sun rise. I figured that since I was well-rested I might as well get up and get the dogs outside. Dressed and ready to face the day, I walked out into the kitchen to see that I was raring to go… at 2:30 AM. I stayed up. What else was I to do? I tried to slip back to bed at 7:00 AM, but it was too late. I’ve been up since. |

Thanks for bringing some memories back from when I was an innocent child. I remember seeing Grandpa falling asleep during the early evening TV shows and start to lightly snore. I would laugh and he would open his eyes saying he isn't sleeping. |
