There’s been a single housefly buzzing around here since the start of the game. Wouldn’t land to allow conventional swatting. I finally decided to take him out.
First pass he broke outside and I took him for ball one. After a swing during which he broke down and away and I missed I took the next one in which he changed speeds and reversed his course before crossing the plate. 2-1. He came through outside next and I was in a pull frame of mind, 3-1. The next two pitches the little SOB took me up the ladder and struck me out.
At bat number two first approach was a little sinker and I over swung. I decided to switch tactics on the next swing and went with a downward swing and took him out. Of. The. Yard. He gone. No mo. Outta here!…
