Back to Nestor and the strep throat, I heard Meredith’s info. Yet I recall Strep as debilitating. A good chunk of time off work, no voice, spreading into the lymph nodes, and into the ears. Loss of equilibrium, and taking some time to get all that clears out after the fact. It also doesn’t usually come on fast. You feel listless for a couple three days before you realize how badly sick you are… I was surprised Nestor only missed one start…

Bader covers the whole outfield. Really amazing.

His last six starts Berrios has gone 3-1; 2.97. I looked him up early this year and he had allowed 12 earned runs in his first 9.2 innings (2 starts), and I was wondering if he was finished…He had one of those zip code ERAs…

Right now Bo Bichette's career BA of .299 is identical to that of his father Dante.

Bader covers the whole outfield. Really amazing. One great thing about playing in that firehouse league for me was that I had a very sure handed left and right fielder, but they were almost statues. I knew anything I had a shot at was mine… I talking like typical firehouse fat guys, 5’7” and 245 pounds. They had one guy that weighed 600 pounds (pretty tall, maybe 6’2” or so)… but he didn’t play ball. He once fell off the back of the fire truck on the way to a fire. He said the doctors told him that his size may have saved him, because he sort of bounced and rolled a bit. Poor fellow only made to his early 40’s. His heart couldn’t do all the work it needed to do…

Sheesh, they gave us two of the six on the trivia question. Although Carter and Mazeroski were pretty obvious.

Well I guess we have to say Luis Gonzalez.

Joe Carter had a 105 OPS + but had 100+ RBI seasons with OPS+ of 77,85, and 95… the 77 is a record low for a 100+ RBI season…

The Twins guy in 91 in the 10th inning. Dan Gladden scored it, but I don't remember who drove him in.

Right now Bo Bichette's career BA of .299 is identical to that of his father Dante. Without the benefit of Coors field. His dad was a pretty bad OF despite a strong arm. I don’t think Bo is a very rangy SS. The family lives by the bat…Mom was probably the best fielder in the household…

I love the irony of a guy that bunts his way on, and then gets picked off… Bozo ball! 🤡…

I was also thinking Francisco Cabrera of the Braves, but on second thought that was the NLCS.

It’s amazing how little attention I pay to other teams in the post season. It’s like I don’t even want to know…are these WS winning HRs? I missed the question…
