🔑 🔑 to the series. The losses of Judge and Alonso almost balance out. In fact they do in the HR department. Two teams tgat have trouble scoring with their big bats out of the lineup and in a similar predicament.
They’re almost equally poor at the plate. The difference is in the pitching department, where the Mets allow about a run per game more than the Yankees. Much of that is because the Mets pitching staff has been home run prone this season, and that includes Scherzer and Verlander.
The Mets bullpen is in a bit of a shambles without Diaz, and while D-Rob has filled in admirably with a 1.91 ERA, his FIP is 2.99, indicating that may not be sustainable for the thirty-eight year old.
It’s eerily similar to the Boston series, so we have to hope for better results. The first step would be treating Scherzer like his almost a regular human being and hoping he doesn’t find his magic against our hitters.
I’m just thinking about that failure in Boston and o want to set the over-under for total runs at 4.5 per game. Anybody’s series, really. Sad…

Sad… Like i said before, the top of the lineup needs to pick it up. We face Scherzer and Verlander but neither have been pitching to their baseball cards. I hope Sevy can overcome his recent struggles. I know Cole will be game against Verlander.

Right now with the state of the lineup, tis team will struggle with every team they play. The one positive is the Yankee pitching has been so good that they have a chance in every game to win.

Anybody think if it was Gleyber Torres was on first instead of Texeiera that he would have scored on that play?

So uh Donaldson Rizzo Stanton and Torres can never be in the same lineup for whatever reason one always sits.
Also Calhoun who is hot right now nope.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When it comes to playing RF, I’d rather but some dude I found out side the stadium high on meth out there than Calhoun. He’s awful in the field. With Stanton back his only use is to be the (not so good) DH when Stanton plays in the field…
