McKinney continues to find a way to get on base. Renfield, if you’re out there, do you remember Bones McKinney coaching at Wake? Coached Billy Packer and Len Chappell. He was a riot. You may remember Bones wearing a seat belt on the bench one time. He lived in Hickory for years and was the go to speaker for many events. You are right he was a riot. Funniest person I have ever been around. Chappell was one of the greatest player ever in the ACC.

I also remember him doing ACC games on that Jefferson-Pilot network withPacker and Thacker. Lucky you to catch him in person. He was the real deal.

McKinney was a little before my time, but I knew who he was and, of course, he was a guest on many ACC broadcasts.

No score though six in Omaha. Only six baserunners between the two teams. Wake's third baseman nice play to keep it at 0-0. Still 0-0 top of 8. LSU's Skene at 108 pitches so far and still throwing gas. Lowder for Wake pitching great as well.

I looked him up and see he was the last coach to get Wake into the Final Four. And Bearman I remember Lenny Chappell playing for the Cincinnati Royals with Oscar Robertson and Jerry Lucas and Adrian Smith and Wayne Embry, among others.

What a play by LSU's first baseman! Unfortunately. Might have won the game.

Horrible last week but had a nice 2 games and tonight was just a brutal stinker. Was really looking like a sweep since they were last two of their better pitchers but with oak and stl coming next week hopefully the wins keep coming and they take 2 vs Texas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What a play by LSU's first baseman! Unfortunately. Might have won the game. Well, I doubt they will go further with Skenes at 120 pitches: 8 innings two hits, no runs, one walk, 9 strikeouts. Cannot provide much more than that.

Bader throws out Teoscar at second. Highlight of the night.

Good on Bader playing hard even in a blowout.
