In fairness to Florial, he was put on waivers at the start of this season, his breakout season. If the Yankees put him waivers right now, he'd certainly get claimed by someone. Hoping WE keep Florial. I'm pretty sure Florial is a free agent at the end of the season unless the Yankees put him on the 40 man roster and we've already seen they won't do that. He'd be out of his mind to come back to this organization on his own.

Potential Trade for Superstar Juan Soto Jon Heyman from the New York Post reports that the San Diego Padres are open to trade offers for Soto, who was acquired last year to fortify their World Series aspirations. Soto has participated in 103 games this season, posting a .262 average with a .417 OBP. His record includes a 19.7% strikeout rate, 21.1% walk rate, 20 home runs, 62 RBIs, and a 152 wRC+. Just 24 years old, Soto is one of the most promising players in the game, and his addition would significantly revamp the offense, especially coupled with Judge’s return. BY THE WAY: Isn't Candelario just a Rental FA Player??? And for 3B we have Peraza, Wald, IKF, DJ, Sweeny, etc. Soto is worth the prospects Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

'Fine' after injury scare July 28, 2023 Candelario said after Friday's game against the Mets that he's "fine" and would have been able to hit if his spot in the lineup came up again, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. ANALYSIS Aggressiveness on the bases led to an injury scare; Candelario tried to stretch a single into a double and appeared to hurt his left shoulder. He appeared to be in serious pain, but the shoulder apparently checked out OK in the cages in between innings. A likely trade candidate, Candelario went 1-for-3 with a walk Friday and is now slashing .254/.355/.478 on the season.

Trade news got quiet again nothing since the Graveman trade not even any rumors... Just like the Sheriff on so many western movies. “Town’s quiet tonight, sheriff.”. “Yup. Too quiet.”…

Dump Sevy, German, JLo, IKF, Bader if not extending. Try to get rid of Stanton and DJ if possible but not happening. I would love to get Soto if possible. Schmidt is the future #4 or 5. Dump Cashman and regroup in the off-season.

I'd be all for a trade if they picked up players that would be here in 2024 too. No more rentals for me.

I guess Candelario/grichuk is ok if it's literally just the Nats/Rockies dumping salary and giving up a PTBNL or something cheap. However yea Bellinger I think is going to take some big name prospects which isn't a good idea. I doubt they just give him away if he's even traded.
