I'm working all weekend and the wife and daughter went to Cape May. I got 3 dogs that are going nuts from the fireworks. I gave all 3 meds but my development is like a war zone. It's beyound just a few fun fireworks these assholes light mortars that shake the house for hours.

It's beyound just a few fun fireworks these assholes light mortars that shake the house for hours. This is the worst time of the year for my poor dog. The fireworks terrify her. |

I also built every conceivable shape with SOMA blocks, so I got a second set and built all of the shapes that required two sets. I was surprise because Iāve never been mechanically inclined. Reminds me of a job I had as a boy. Loading trucks and sweeping up at a rather nasty family dairy business. The matriarch of the family was ;light the east of them) almost perpetually intoxicated. She kept a bottle in her desk drawer. My instructions were to sweep the office as soon as I punched in every day. One day I came in and swept it and the old witch was pissed off because she had just finished sweeping it herself. āDid that floor LOOK like it needed swept young man? Why arenāt you downstairs helping my son work on the trucks (was never my job and I was only 13. āIām sorry Mrs. Guethler. Iāve just never been mechanically inclined.ā āI donāt care what youāre INCLINED to do. Youāll do what I say.ā āYes maāamā. <goes downstairs where he needs to sweep again while he waits for the trucks to come in> sighā¦ Her son, the mechanic was about 43 years old and surely didnāt want my help, except to sweep and roll up the water hose, etc.. He was always loaded to, but on beer and not to the point of being nastyā¦ Not everyone benefits so early from working with entrepreneurs. Ā šššā¦ |

Ā The other part of the story, we lived a couple miles away from there and because these people had crappy trucks, AND because the primary driver, the other son of the office witch would often stop at a beer joint on the way in, weād often not get done work until 9:00. The mechanic son was my friendās dad so they offered to drop me off on their way home one night. Little did I know that would include waiting for an hour in a beer joint while he got refueledā¦ I never rode with them again. He was swerving all over the place on the way home, and I sure as hell could get home safer and faster walking in the dark in those days. Germans can put away some beerā¦ |
