What's with the Yankees losing first games of series? They have alot of series wins this year but a lot of them are the long way after losing the first game.

If we bring up Austin Wells as a hitting coach, does he have to be on the 40-man roster?

Yankees are 11-13 without Judge (since June 4) Orioles are 12-11 in the same period .

So I think that tells you the Yankees if they can ever get Judge back (like how does it take to give a timeline? this is so annoying) SHOULD pass the Orioles. The Yankees can't play any worse than they are playing offensively being ranked last in almost every category in the last month and still have almost the same record as them in the same time period.
Getting to the first wild card is important, because that guarantees 3 games in Yankee stadium and 0 in whoever else's stadium. The Yankees have a far better record against teams playing at home especially Houston, the Angels etc well any team really in the AL they always seem to play better as home vs them.

Have you ever torn a ligament? If not, here’s the typical scenario. Ligaments are made of multiple strands of fibrous tissue. Typically, several strands will separate from the joint, which is quite painful. In addition, each of those strands (depending on the ligament it can be a few or dozens). Each one is bloody and frayed and must heal individually as well as the root area from which they tear away. Seldom is it the entire ligament, but if it is then there may be additional complications involved. Without opening up the wound it’s just about impossible to get an exact assessment of the damage. I tore a simple ligament in one of my fingers once and for a while I couldn’t bend it. The ligament itself snapped back from the first knuckle to the major knuckle and it was basically in a pile under the skin, making the appearance of a lump that didn’t go away until the fibrous tissues atrophied many months later. The doctor made an educated guess that out of the half dozen strands that made that connection, maybe a half dozen or so of mine had snapped. Maybe a month later I could again bend my finger, and the pain lingered for probably 90 days as it receded. The information was above was all supplied to me by my then family doctor at the time. I’m sure he dumbed it down for me… but the bottom line: lots of little frayed and bloody ends…

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm guessing that the Yankees lied to us because they can. The NFL is the only sports league that makes their teams come clean about injuries and that's because gambling is so important in that sport. The Yankees didn't tell us at first, probably because they didn't want to set off a panic attack among the fan base and also, to be fair to them, it's hard to forecast how long a player will be out with an injury as strange as the one to Judge's. We can just hope these ligaments heel soon and he's back in August. One positive is that he didn't have surgery, so they think the injury will heal on its own.

Yea I think most opinions I read online from "doctors" was like 2 months. If playoffs were closer or team was doing like the Mets are maybe he tries it sooner, but as I posted in Around the majors the entire AL has been 500 or so the last month and they are still in a playoff spot so hopefully they can make some ground against the Orioles this week and get some separation so he can come back in August and towards the playoffs. He does seem to be walking ok and is not in a boot it's just all about how much pressing off the toe and stuff is possible. I also wonder since DJ is not playing right at all this season if his didn't real properly though that was a diff toe.
