I have two mountain bikes; both are in my garage in Iowa. Lifting weights does appeal to me. Diet is a four-letter word. How dare you! It's tough. I love to cook and love to eat. It's going to have to be exercised related. My willpower is not what it once was. Start by lifting weights! My mental health is 10 times better since I started lifting weights and walking!
As for diet, I used to be the worst. If I can turn it around, anyone can. You don't have to starve yourself or cut out all the food you enjoy. Everything in moderation.
My diet isn't actually all that bad. It's more of when I eat that is the problem. Like today, I still have not eaten today, but I ate late last night and will likely do the same tonight.

From what I read, the eating late at night kill you thing is mostly a myth. Calories are calories. If you're eating a deficit even if you're eating late at night you will still lose weight. Now if you're eating a whole pizza and ice cream every late night, that won't work.
