Thanks A-man and desousa for keeping us updated on the picks! Thanks kay and for A-man for picking up the ball after I disappeared. Had to drive down to Newton-Wellesley Hospital on Monday to see a new doctor. It was a brutal 2 1/2 hours of pouring rain. Vermont got hit really hard with flooding, but fortunately we live at the highest point of Burlington and had no flooding at all. Yesterday I was at the hospital and then drove home, so I lost touch with the draft. Not that I know anything, but I find it interesting. From what I got gather, the Yanks put all their eggs in the George Lombard Jr basket. I hope it's not one of those Cito Culver disasters when Cashman saw what no one else saw. Lombard Jr supposedly has the make up the Yankees love, but will it translate to the field? Many believe he won't stick at SS, but we could always use a 3rd baseman. The Yanks saved money with some of their later picks, just to be able to pay Lombard, so they must have had an agreement before the draft. Lombard is slated to attend Vanderbilt. The Yanks put such a premium on make up these days, so they believe with that added to Lombard's skill set, he worth their 1st round pick. He just turned 18, so he's basically the same age as SS Rodrick Arias, who was last years international huge signing.

Hope your doctor visit went well and that you are feeling good! Still trying to figure what's been making me sick for the past 6 1/2 years. My new doc wants to look at my pancreas with a special endoscopy, so we'll see. Fortunately for me, because of all my testing, doctors discovered my lung cancer when it was still early. Sometimes you get lucky.

Thanks for the great analysis of the draft desousa! You can’t be overly diligent in regard to health. I know I feel a LOT better since we moved and switched doctors. I just got my A1C results and I dropped all the way from a 9.4 to a 6.2 in just a 90-day period of understanding my illness better. Now, if that guy tells me I need to stand on my head six hours a day, I’m going to… well… probably at least tell him I’m doing it. Unless we can install an upside down TV to watch the games on… So, congratulations to you desousa. Both on your fight in this lung cancer battle and your continued diligence to look for improvement…
