I give them credit for basically treading water without Judge for a month, but in the last 10 days since losing the 3rd game to the Orioles they are 2-6 and have lost 7 games in the standings to the Orioles (who haven't lost a game since to anybody), 4.5 To the Jays, 3 to the Red Sox. Only 1 game to the Rays who have completely collapsed and are now only 47-36 since their 13-0 start and are only 1 game up on Baltimore.
The only positive here is Houston has been just a bad going 2-4 in the same span.

The Yankees obviously need an impact bat at the deadline and Judge back, but while they treaded for a month only losing 2 games in the standings from June 4th to July 5th, however, I feel they have went beyond treading at this point though and now have lost real ground in the standings since everyone in division outside of the rays has gone on 8-2 runs in their last 10 games.
The trade deadline is still too far away they need to back into playoff position before that and not fall farther behind.

Bullpen couldn't hold the lead twice. Thrown out at third twice. Despite their supposed good statistics, the bullpen doesn't seem to prevent inherited runners from scoring very often. |

OK boys, I had sworn off social media for as long as I could. I admit that I have lurked a couple times but I need to vent. Boone and his crew need to go, period. He cant rally a bunch of has ben's and money chasers. Time to trade the lot. Torres and Stanton plus the farm to LAA for Ohtani or whatever it is going to take minus Judge and Cole. Cashman needs to go at the end of the season. This organization needs new life. This game was a cluster.

Bullpen couldn't hold the lead twice. Thrown out at third twice. Despite their supposed good statistics, the bullpen doesn't seem to prevent inherited runners from scoring very often. Only way this team is wining anything is to bring in a top caliber left handed power bat that can compliment with Judge and give Rizzo and Stanton protection in the lineup and get better pitches to hit. So the trade has to be about this year only if you have no guarantee he comes back. You are trading two 30 or so hr guys in a healthy season for a 40-50 hr guy.
