Those 2 are just for starters this year. They are not going anywhere this season. Ohtani would more than make up for their loss he has 33 dingers for gods sake and they would have the bonus of his pitching. Rizzo 1B, Falefa 2B, Volpe SS, DJ 3B/1B, Bader-Judge and a cast of thousands for left field. Ohtani DH/1B. Much better lineup for the rest of this season. Ohtani has no contract for next year. So the trade has to be about this year only if you have no guarantee he comes back. You are trading two 30 or so hr guys in a healthy season for a 40-50 hr guy. Ohtani has gotten bombed in both his starts at Yankee stadium so far and we have no idea if he can pitch in this talented division. It's a wash really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Torres has hit 30 HRs in exactly one season and it was 5 seasons ago. Stanton is never healthy and 4 years older than Ohtani. I would throw in Donaldson if they want him also. Its a no brainer and he happens to bat left handed. As for pitching Ohtani has been average on the mound this year but has had some nagging injuries. He still would be our number 2 this year behind Cole and just because he has been hit by the Yanks does not mean he could not do well in the East.

I doubt Boone believes this is a championship team either. What is he going to say. We suck because we have a clueless GM?

Ohtani has never pitched for a contending team in his entire career. I would much rather have Soto.

I am not sure what pitching for a contending team has to do with talent of a pitcher - he can't help his team sucks. But regardless we need hitting hitting and more hitting. Not pitching.

OK boys, I had sworn off social media for as long as I could. I admit that I have lurked a couple times but I need to vent. Boone and his crew need to go, period. He cant rally a bunch of has ben's and money chasers. Time to trade the lot. Torres and Stanton plus the farm to LAA for Ohtani or whatever it is going to take minus Judge and Cole. Cashman needs to go at the end of the season. This organization needs new life. This game was a cluster. Trading Torres and Stanton for Ohtani is a wash at best. Only way this team is wining anything is to bring in a top caliber left handed power bat that can compliment with Judge and give Rizzo and Stanton protection in the lineup and get better pitches to hit. Trading away two of the better players for 1 elite player isn't going to help this team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This trade would never happen because the Angels are already saddled with Rendon's bad contract and they don't want to add Stanton's to it. On the Yankees side, they would do it in a heartbeat to get out of the rest of Stanton's contract, they would probably trade for a couple minor leaguer to clear all that payroll.

What the heck did I miss? I get in the truck with a 2 run lead and see they blew the game. What a disappointment. Cashman and Boone have to go.
Gleyber is really the top Yankee performing BUT I would do anything to get Stanton the heck out of here.

Stanton also has a no trade clause which sux. I would take on Rendon's contract to get rid of Stanton, Donaldson and DJ. Rendon's contract ends in 2026 and Stanton's contracts end in 2027. Stanton is from LA so maybe he would agree????

Don't let a NO TRADE get in our way of ditching Stanton = Everyone has a selling price = Pay him another $10-15m to waive it and go home to Southern Calif.

Don't let a NO TRADE get in our way of ditching Stanton = Everyone has a selling price = Pay him another $10-15m to waive it and go home to Southern Calif. We could DFA him, which would mean we continue to pay him for the duration of his contract and that someone else could pay him the league minimum to sit and occasionally play like he does here. He’s a slump prone former star who is essentially paid for the one or two hot streaks that last 2-3 weeks he produces every season. Quite a life he has…
