Forgotten hero of the game: Jonathan Holder! Biggest moment of his young big league career and he picked up the win.

And, Bird is on the way back. Gardner, Judge, Bird, Stanton, Sanchez, Didi, Cashman's Guy, Andujar, Torres. When Gardner is hitting, this is a special team. (Drury, Walker, Toe, Romine)

(Drury, Walker, Toe, Romine) That lineup is incredible. The only lineup I can remember that could match since I've been watching baseball since 1995 is the 1998 Yankee lineup or maybe the 2006 Playoff lineup (which actually didn't do much in the playoffs): 2006 ALDS Game 1 Lineup: 1. Johnny Damon CF 2. Derek Jeter SS 3. Bobby Abreu RF 4. Gary Sheffield 1B [img alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif" class="smile"] 5. Jason Giambi DH 6. Alex Rodriguez 3B 7. Hideki Matsui LF 8. Jorge Posada C 9. Robinson Cano 2B 1998 Most Common Lineup: 1. Chuck Knoblauch 2B 2. Derek Jeter SS 3. Paul O'Neill RF 4. Tino Martinez 1B 5. Bernie Williams CF 6. Darryl Strawberry DH 7. Chad Curtis LF 8. Jorge Posada C 9. Scott Brosius 3B

Found this gem on the interwebs: The Yankees just ended their own streak of 8 straight games in which they beat a first place team.

Joe musta had a great time at the game! Wow what a game! So glad I stuck it out the whole way on a work night (I usually do but I was worried my buddy would want to bail since it was moving slowly). Paying for it a little this morning, takes a long time to get back to Jersey from the Bronx at that hour...but so worth it!

I hope they get Kanhle and Warren back soon though because they have been basically playing with a 5/6 man bullpen for a couple of weeks now. They have played so many tough and tight games during this stretch that they have been really riding the "big arms" quite a bit. Hale and Cole are on the roster but never get the ball (not that any of us really want them to). Dont want these guys to hit a wall in September...Warren and Kanhle allows Boonie to spread the ball around a little bit more.
