Many years ago I gave my soon-to-be brother-in-law a check for a million dollars on his birthday. Like an ass he tried to cash it and I got an "Insufficient Funds" notice from the bank along with a charge of something like 40 bucks -- at that point in life I was probably $999,000 short. Apparently this kind of gag wasn't all that uncommon and the banks didn't appreciate the humor of it. |

And, I was just joking when I was playfully insinuating that he might be a jinx by continuing to question you if he had ever been to a Yankee game in person without you in which they won. So, I am blacked out again from watching the Astros AT the Yankees via my MLB.TV subscription for which I paid good money. The kicker is that I am also blacked out on Amazon Prime, even though I am an Amazon Prime member and have been for nearly twenty years. I am also subscribed to Apple.TV and was unable to watch there yesterday as well. All because I live in the state of Texas, which is so large it is approximately 900 miles from the east Texas border with Louisiana to El Paso. In other words, I could drive all day long and still be in Texas. Or, I suppose I could buy a ticket and drive 1584 miles from my apartment to Yankee Stadium. Of course I would have needed to leave yesterday morning.  For what, so that I can watch a Gotta Go to Mo's advert rather than Sports Academy? |
