I'm still trying to figure out how it's mathematically possible for a team to lose 12? series in a row, but still be over .500 when they only had like an 11 game cushion when this started. I could see like if they were 20-25 games over how they wouldn't fall under .500, but continually doing win 1 lose 2 you think would tank their record, but it hasn't somehow as they've only gone from like 5 over .500 to 1 over. 500 in the last 3 weeks or so.

Who knows how many runs Schmidt gives up, but IKF over sliding the bag and that not being a bigger inning didn't help things either. Little things happened throughout the game. The throw DJ dropped. The Bader “pick off”. Boone letting Schmidt get waxed because he didn’t want to wear out the pen with Sevy starting today. Over sliding the bag. It was simply a poorly played game, asking for what we got, a solid shellacking. No single play could make up for Boone not pulling Schmidt… |

A winning streak must be earned… The law of averages usually works out. However if they keep doing things like starting Severino who has one good start out of every 10 they kind of break that law.
